Does State Disability Send Out W-2 Forms Do I Need To Report Both W-2 On My 1040 If They Reflect The Same Disability Amounts From My Employer And Ins.?

Do I need to report both w-2 on my 1040 if they reflect the same disability amounts from my employer and ins.? - does state disability send out w-2 forms

My friend is in long-term disability. She made $ 1,500 per month from the insurance co. You will receive a Form W-2 Employer offering $ 16,000 of sick pay and third W-2 of the Cooperative Insurance. Here is the same $ 18,000. If both, the report shows $ 30,000 + tax free, while only what insurance 2 W reflected. Does the employer wrongly Send Form W-2? Can I take it into account and the file only with the safety of the W-2? And if the file containing the two who are on their financial results. It also has a dependent child living with her.

If the sum received $ 18K from insurance, the company erred in sending the W2. Contact the employer and solve this problem. If the income exempted from the tax really should not matter, but an explanation must be submitted in accordance with IRS Records.

Mounted or not by the tax is a different matter. See Pub 525 for advice on this point.

He receives the payments directly from the insurance company. Only the insurance should be issued W-2. It needs to communicate with the employer for the second W-2 completed.

When they do this for you does, then the file is that you described.

Since this is the same income, you should contact the employer and tell them what happened, and request a Form W-2 form corrected. Both were on the IRS and the IRS are reported to think that there are two separate payment amounts and are expected to accumulate.
